Taylor Wessing continues to expand its expertise with the arrival of Laurence Ren as a partner. Laurence Ren will be responsible for establishing and developing the China Desk within the firm's Paris office. She will be supported by Rong Yang, who joins the firm as an associate.
As a lawyer admitted to the Paris, Beijing, and New York bars, with a doctorate in law and nearly twenty years of experience, Laurence Ren advises Chinese and international clients on their investment, merger and acquisition, and restructuring transactions, both in an advisory capacity and in litigation.

She is head of Taylor Wessing's China Desk in Paris, working closely with the firm's international network teams.
The China Desk in France has also been strengthened by the arrival of Rong Yang, an associate who has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2018 and holds a doctorate in comparative law. Rong Yang practices corporate law and mergers and acquisitions, as well as restructuring and takeover of companies in difficulty. She also has recognized expertise in international mobility, assisting foreign companies and talent in deploying their activities in France.
With the creation of this Desk, Taylor Wessing France is strengthening its business law offering on international issues, in particular:
supporting Chinese actors in their establishment and development projects in Europe;
managing international transactions and contracts with a strong regulatory dimension;
coordinating multi-jurisdictional cases involving several offices within the Taylor Wessing network.
