Our international Projects, Energy and Infrastructure team advises national and international clients on complex large-scale industrial plant construction projects as well as on infrastructure and tech-heavy projects in Europe and worldwide.
We advise on infrastructure projects in the renewable energy sector (in particular offshore wind and solar). We work with leading global companies on the construction of chemical and pharmaceutical process and production plants. We support the development of data centres for technology giants and advise on complex IT-infrastructure and tech-heavy projects worldwide. We further focus on shipbuilding, aviation and aerospace technology/satellites.
In addition, we are strong in 'classical' infrastructure topics such as roads, railways, airports and ports.
We support all of these projects throughout their entire lifecycle: from the RfP stage through the drafting and negotiation of the relevant project contracts (in particular construction, supply and service contracts such as EPC, EPCM and O&M contracts including international standard contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, IChemE and Logic) to the construction and operation phase of the project including legal project and claims management as well as dispute resolution. We support our clients in litigation proceedings before state courts and in arbitration proceedings (for example according to ICC rules).
Our lawyers boast extensive practical experience and competence in all these stages of a project, above all in analysing and solving challenges with our clients arising during the implementation and execution of large-scale, long-running projects. We also have extensive experience in all the relevant interface disciplines needed to successfully complete such projects, including public procurement finance, corporate, IP and IT as well as legal project management.
Our clients benefit from our decades of experience of advising at all stages of a project. We are deeply dedicated to both our projects and clients and committed to solve their challenges with them.

Data centres remain one of the most attractive asset classes, but present a variety of commercial and legal challenges in terms of investment and implementation. We advise on the realisation of and investments in data centres across Europe.
In the planning and construction of industrial plants with a focus on chemical and pharmaceutical plant construction, Taylor Wessing advises on major projects worldwide throughout the entire life cycle. The brochure provides an overview of services, references and team.
The Data Act focuses on industrial data generated by the use of networked products and related services. From the EU’s point of view, this promises potential for growth and innovation for the digital transformation which has not been sufficiently exploited up until now. The Act has far-reaching consequences for the engineering and plant construction industry.
We advise on engineering and construction of industrial plants, focusing inter alia on renewable energies, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and technologically complex projects. Our advice spans the entire project lifecycle. This brochure illustrates our experience, focus sectors and services.
We advise on industrial plant construction including the construction of logistics facilities such as (fully automated) central warehouses and automation technology for distribution centres. A unique selling point in the market, we provide legal advice at the interface between classic plant construction combined with all aspects of supply chain digitalisation. The brochure provides an overview of services, references and the team.
We are one of the leading practices for plant construction in the market and have been advising the offshore wind industry from its very beginning. We advise on early development, the drafting and negotiation of the relevant project agreements, and throughout construction and operational phase including claims management. This brochure highlights our services and key credentials.
Offshore wind farms have the potential to become future production hubs for green hydrogen production at scale to meet the world’s increasing demand. The potential for Power-to-X (P2X) and offshore hydrogen production is significant - but realising this potential is not without its challenges. Many countries around the world are implementing ambitious green hydrogen strategies. Three of them, the strategies of Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany, are looked at here.
As a versatile energy source hydrogen can and will play a key role for the energy transition. Our brochure covers current market developments and provides an overview of the current legal framework in Germany, France, the UK, Austria and the Czech Republic.
