Carsten is a Partner at Taylor Wessing and heads the German Technology, Media & Communications (TMC) Sector Group.
He advises primarily on complex IT and technology projects as well as on contracts at the interface between emerging technologies and established industries.
His expertise and projects cover all levels of digitalization – from infrastructure to cloud and appliances through to software.
A key focus of his advisory work is on projects in highly regulated sectors such as the public sector and the fields of digital health, finance, and defense, often taking EU digital sovereignty requirements into account.
In addition, he has special expertise in advising on data centers and in the field of sustainable technology, particularly in negotiating and advising on renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPAs) and waste heat reuse.
His portfolio also includes complex ERP transitions from on-premise to cloud systems as well as legal support for AI rollout projects. His goal: to create genuine added value for clients as a long-term partner beyond the specific project.
