Dr. Niels L. Lange, LL.M. (Stellenbosch)

Niels L. Lange advises national and international clients on industrial plant construction projects as well as infrastructure projects with a focus on energy in Germany and abroad throughout their entire lifecycle.

His particular focus lies on the drafting and negotiation of project agreements (in particular plant construction, supply and service contracts, EPC and EPCM contracts, and FIDIC contracts), as well as supporting his clients during the construction and operation of projects, particularly in the areas of solar energy/PV (ground-mounted and rooftop installations), onshore and offshore wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), gas-fired power plants (CCGT), and hydrogen or CCS/CCU.

During a secondment with an international wind turbine manufacturer, Niels Lange gained experience on the corporate side and further deepened his sector and industry expertise in the field of renewable energy.

Vestas on project agreements for largest German offshore wind farm Nordlicht 1

Advice to Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas on the drafting and negotiation of the project agreements for Vattenfall‘s offshore wind farm Nordlicht 1. The contracts cover the delivery and installation of 68 V236-15.0 MW turbines, including their service and maintenance. Nordlicht 1 will be the largest offshore wind project in Germany.
