Acquisition of chemical production branch located in the UK on REACH Regulation and the impact of BREXIT

A major challenge of this international cross-border transaction was compliance under REACH regulation of both the UK-located chemical production; the supply chain for chemicals from outside the EU and outside the UK; and the crossborder distribution of chemical products outside the EU and outside the UK in particular post Brexit. Regulatory structuring of the cross-border upscaling of the production was essential. Our team secured the development of the client’s new business by sophisticated seamless cross-border regulatory advice from both the UK and Germany. Our longstanding experience with the multiple national and international regulatory bodies involved and our proactive approach to upcoming changes to the market allowed us to guide the client successfully through the challenges posed by Brexit.
