Artificial Societies is an audience testing AI start-up which simulates the behaviour of target audiences through AI personas, allowing users to forecast how their proposed messaging, content and ideas will perform before putting it out into the real world. Following initial investment, Artificial Societies will now look to continue to build their initial products having released the "AS platform" to the world in August 2025.
Using our expertise with respect to US-law governed financings based on NVCA standard terms, we advised Artificial Societies on its Pre-Seed led by Kindred Capital and its subsequent Seed led by Point72 Ventures, which closed in March 2025 and May 2025 respectively. Prior to the initial round, we also advised Artificial Societies on its conversion from a UK to a US corporation through a "Delaware Flip".
Ian Moore, Partner at Taylor Wessing said: "It has been a pleasure to support Artificial Societies on the start of their very exciting journey. We have been thrilled to see James and Patrick's idea of leveraging AI to simulate the interactions of large groups of people come to life and look forward to seeing what the future holds."
James He, one of Artificial Societies' founders: "Following our participation in YC Combinator's YC W25, we are delighted to announce our pre-seed and seed rounds from a number of reputable investors, including Kindred Capital and Point 72 Ventures. Using tailored AI, Artificial Societies is looking to revolutionise understanding large scale human behaviours through simulation. Taylor Wessing’s exceptional expertise and unwavering hard work were evident throughout both fundraisings, and their team’s support has been invaluable to us."
Our Emerging Companies and M&A team was led by Ian Moore and California qualified Meg Burton. Ian and Meg were supported by Nell Cooper on the Pre-Seed Round and Ben Eaves on the Seed Round respectively.
