Taylor Wessing is strengthening its equity and capital markets practice and welcomes capital markets lawyer Dr Christian Köhler as from 1 October 2022. The 38-year-old joins the firm as a Salary Partner and brings extensive transactional experience in capital markets law. Christian Köhler advises issuers and issuing banks in particular on bond programmes, stand-alone issues, green and social bonds, convertible and hybrid bonds, IPOs and rights issues. In addition, his area of expertise extends to debt restructurings including buy-back transactions, bonded loans, registered bonds and commercial paper.
Christian Köhler joins Taylor Wessing from the legal department of Berlin Hyp AG, where he was senior legal counsel in capital markets law. He began his career in 2015 in Clifford Chance’s Frankfurt capital markets team.

Together with Christian Köhler, Taylor Wessing’s Corporate Capital Markets team now comprises around 15 lawyers in Germany. At the beginning of the year, the international law firm expanded its Düsseldorf office with the addition of Salary Partner Nikolaus Plagemann.
