European Patent Attorney
Sebastien is a partner of our Patent team based in Amsterdam. His expertise spans various facets of intellectual property and patent law, with a pronounced emphasis on national and cross-border IP disputes alongside global patent prosecution. Sebastien has adeptly handled cases before the Unified Patent Court, specialised Dutch patent courts, the European Patent Office (EPO), and numerous other patent jurisdictions worldwide.
Moreover, he has significant experience in drafting and negotiating intricate IP license agreements and complex patent cross-license frameworks. As a UPC representative, European Patent Attorney and a member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi), Sebastien brings formidable credentials to his role.
His academic background includes a degree in engineering with a focus on applied physics, complemented by advanced studies in biotechnology at a prestigious Belgian university. Currently, Sebastien is further enhancing his qualifications by pursuing a law degree.
Prior to joining Taylor Wessing, Sebastien served as an in-house European Patent Attorney and Legal IP Manager and worked at an international law firm specialised in IP.
