General contractor agreement: Taylor Wessing advises Premier Inn on new hotel construction in Berlin by COSIMO Investment Group

Premier Inn is expanding its portfolio in Berlin and is having a new hotel built in the Köpenick district by property developer COSIMO Investment Group (COSIMO). A team from Taylor Wessing, led by Frankfurt real estate expert Sarah Anderson, successfully advised the British hotel chain on the general contractor agreement.

The contract stipulates that COSIMO will build a hotel with 157 comfortable rooms and 51 outdoor parking spaces on a 2,700-square-metre site acquired from Premier Inn. The gross floor area of the building is around 5,300 square metres. The opening is planned for 2027.

Premier Inn Germany currently operates 61 hotels, most of which are located in city centres and meet the premium economy standard. A further 37 hotels are in development. Since entering the German market in 2016, Premier Inn has already invested 1.1 billion British pounds in the country.
