James is an associate in our Private Client team, specialising in contentious trust and estate matters, both in England and Wales, and in offshore jurisdictions.
His work primarily centres on handling disputes between trustees, beneficiaries and fiduciaries in relation to trust assets and trustee decision making, as well as disputes between executors and beneficiaries, and between beneficiaries over the administration and disposition of estates.
He also regularly advises on disputes involving proprietary estoppel and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. Additionally, James has experience in family business disputes, including shareholder and partnership conflicts between family members.
