Marina is a specialist in regulatory health law and provides regulatory advice to service providers and investors in the outpatient and inpatient sector. She has been working in medical law since 2014.

One of her main areas of expertise is digital healthcare. In this context, she advises, among others, (established) (healthcare) companies, startups, investors and health insurers on issues related to telemedicine, digital health applications (DiGA) and digital care applications (DiPA), artificial intelligence (AI) and the use of Big Data. She accompanies administrative proceedings in approval and grant proceedings for digitalization; important keywords here are classification reports and trial phase. In this context, Marina is in contact with the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM), among others. Furthermore, Marina advises and accompanies on compliance issues and price negotiations for DiGA, DiPA and digital services (e.g. wearables, virtual reality tools). Finally, she advises on contract design and drafts appropriate contracts. In connection with the digitalization of healthcare, she works together with specialists especially in medical device law, IT data protection and liability law.

Marina is a lecturer at the University of Aachen. In addition, she regularly gives lectures and publishes on current health law topics.
