The NUMA Group (NUMA) formerly COSI Group, the leading European digital hotel operator and technology provider in the short-term rental sector, has raised 45 million US dollars in fresh capital in another financing round. With DN Capital Group, the circle of financiers expands to include a new lead investor. Headline was involved as co-lead, as were existing investors Cherry Ventures, Soravia, Kreos Capital, TruVenturo and Scope Hanson (Bremke). A team from Taylor Wessing, led by Berlin-based partner Norman Röchert, advised the growth company on all legal issues related to the funding round.
Founded in Berlin in 2019, NUMA was able to increase its turnover by around 500 per cent last year despite the difficult market environment caused by the pandemic and recorded a booking occupancy rate of 85 per cent.
NUMA operates design hotels across Europe, in total more than 2,500 units. In 2021, the growth company expanded to Spain, Italy, Austria and the Czech Republic and is active in numerous attractive metropolises, including Berlin, Munich, Rome, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona and Vienna. As partner for investors, real estate owners, developers and hotel operators, NUMA also develops innovative technology-based operator solutions that significantly increase partner hotels' revenues through automated business processes, intelligent pricing and higher occupancy rates.
