Edward Spencer

Edward is a Senior Counsel in the Disputes & Investigations team in London.  He advises clients on a wide range of contentious matters including general commercial, technology, corporate and shareholder disputes and regulatory investigations.  Edward has a specific focus on product liability, regularly acting for manufacturers and importers on complex, high value and multiparty claims particularly in the high tech and life science industries.  He also advises companies on dispute avoidance strategies, notably in relation boardroom and shareholder disputes arising in the context of corporate fundraising activities.

Edward is part of the UK cyber response team and advises on all aspects of breach preparedness and response – including seeking injunctive relief and any follow-on litigation.  As a member of the Private Wealth Group, Edward is regularly instructed on contentious matters arising out of the ownership of trophy assets by HNWs and trusts – notably classic cars, private jets and luxury yachts.  As part of Edward’s practice he regularly advises clients in relation to insurance coverage disputes, both as part of wider instructions and standalone actions against insurers.
