The company has been subject to insolvency proceedings under its own administration since 1 December 2025. The transaction has already been completed.
Süddeutsche Gelenkscheibenfabrik Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung & Co. KG is a leading manufacturer of flexible couplings, flexible discs and other components for vibration damping and power transmission for the automotive industry. The company has production facilities in Germany, the Czech Republic and Thailand and employs approximately 600 people worldwide.
The acquirer, ETM Dynamics GmbH, is an automotive supplier and part of the ETM Group, based in Saalburg (Thuringia), specialising in components and plastic systems. ETM Dynamics GmbH is a portfolio company of Max Valier Holding GmbH, an investment company based in Oberhaching near Munich, whose investment focus is on sustainable business models with development potential.
The transaction took place as part of a restructuring by way of transfer and enables the continuation of operational business activities not only in Germany but also at locations abroad.
