DERTOUR Deutschland acquires I.D. Riva Tours with Taylor Wessing

A Taylor Wessing team, led by Düsseldorf partners Dr. Ernst-Albrecht v. Beauvais and Daniel Mursa, provided comprehensive legal advice to the REWE Group and its subsidiary DERTOUR Deutschland GmbH on the acquisition of I.D. Riva Tours, a travel provider specialising in Croatia. This acquisition will enable DERTOUR Deutschland GmbH to strengthen its offering in the specialist travel segment. I.D. Riva Tours is one of the most renowned providers of travel to Croatia. Subject to antitrust approvals, the takeover is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2025.

DERTOUR Germany comprises the tour operators DERTOUR, ITS and Meiers Weltreisen. They offer modular, long-distance and package tours in 179 countries around the world. DERTOUR Germany is part of the DERTOUR Group.

DERTOUR Group has its head office in Cologne, Germany, and is REWE Group’s travel and tourism division. Riva Tours has a portfolio of more than 200 holiday homes and maintains partnerships with around 400 Croatian hotels and holiday resorts. In addition, there are over 30 motor sailers and yachts that are marketed exclusively by I.D. Riva Tours. With its many years of experience and strong local presence, I.D. Riva Tours enables more than 50,000 guests a year to enjoy an individual and authentic holiday in Croatia. The company currently employs 55 people in Germany and Croatia and works with a network of local partners and service providers.
