WirtschaftsWoche Legal All Stars: Gregor Schmid is one of Germany's "Top of the Tops" in Copyright Law

Berlin-based Taylor Wessing partner Dr Gregor Schmid is one of three Legal All Stars 2023 in copyright law, making him one of Germany's top legal advisors in this field.

WirtschaftsWoche and the Handelsblatt Research Institute have selected the top three lawyers in Germany within 31 areas of law. Thanks to their outstanding achievements all of the honoured lawyers have earned special attention and appreciation from both the legal profession and the business world over the past year.

Gregor Schmid is a technology and media lawyer at Taylor Wessing, specialising in data, artificial intelligence, copyright, media, IT law and e-commerce. He regularly advises on negotiations and transactions, financing and joint ventures as well as on regulatory aspects of digital business.

The high-profile legal expert is an award-winning and recommended lawyer in the fields of technology and data protection. Born in Munich, he has also been one of two local managing directors at the firm's Berlin office.

Since 2021, Gregor Schmid has been lecturing on the law of digital transformation at the Spanish University of Alicante in addition to his work as a lawyer.  Prior to this, he was a lecturer in media law at Berlin's Humboldt University for nearly nine years until 2020.
