Infinity SDC Limited announces acquisition by Azrieli Group

Data centre specialist Infinity SDC has signed an agreement with Azrieli Group owned, Norwegian-based operator, Green Mountain to acquire its London-based data centre and land, marking the latter's entry to the UK market. Completion of the acquisition is subject to certain conditions and is expected to take place before the end of the year.

The campus, located in Romford, includes an existing data centre with significant expansion potential and available land for further development. The site is less than 10 miles away from the major financial centres of the City of London and Docklands. With the use of secured green power, it can support up to 37MW of IT load and already has several strong UK enterprises as core tenants. The second transaction, land adjacent to the existing data centre, is an opportunity for expansion and development potential.

Infinity SDC is a data centre specialist, having built several sites across London since 2009. Infinity works with several corporate, banking and technology clients to support their data needs. We have advised Infinity SDC throughout the deal, with teams from the firm's corporate tech and real estate sectors providing specialist expertise.

Commenting on the transactions, Howard Palmer, Corporate Technology partner, said: "We're pleased to have helped Infinity SDC, one of our longstanding clients, with the sale of its Romford data centre, having advised Infinity SDC on the prior disposals of three further data centres. The transaction needed the support of several of our in-house experts across our corporate and real estate teams to ensure its success, requiring specialist knowledge and the strength-in-depth we can provide."

Stuart Sutton, CEO of Infinity SDC, said: "We would like to thank Howard Palmer and the Taylor Wessing team for their support during this transaction. Howard first acted for Infinity in October 2005 and has provided invaluable legal support and guidance for the company throughout its life cycle."

The team was led by corporate partner Howard Palmer with support from senior associate Richard Faichney and associate Oli Denne both from the corporate technology team, partner Liz Wilson and associate Michael Akpomiemie from the tax team, partner Helen Farr from the employment team, partner Alan Evans and senior counsel Louise Tobutt from the real estate team and partner Paolo Palmigiano, head of the competition team.
