In January 2020 the Balanced Labour Market Act, (Wet Arbeidsmarkt in Balans) came into effect. Joost Kokje authored the article WAB onder de loep na woelig half jaar for the journal HR Rendement. In the article, he goes into detail on the governmental amendments made and the effect of those amendments to the hiring and firing of employees and overall employment-related legal practice.
Since the article has been written, several relevant court rulings were published. These rulings provide insight into the way the courts deal with requests based on the newly implemented dismissal ground (i-ground), which has been discussed in the article as well. Sinds januari 2020 is de Wet Arbeidsmarkt in Balans van kracht. Voor het tijdschrift HR Rendement schreef Joost Kokje het artikel WAB onder de loep na woelig half jaar. In het artikel gaat hij in de wijzigingen uit de WAB en het effect daarvan op de arbeidsrechtpraktijk.
Sinds het artikel is geschreven, hebben diverse kantonrechters zich gebogen over ontbindingsverzoeken op de i-grond. De uitspraken van deze kantonrechters geven inzicht in hoe werkgevers het beste van de i-grond gebruik kunnen maken.
