New Managing Partner for Taylor Wessing’s Shanghai Office
Mike Goldammer, Partner and longstanding member of the Taylor Wessing China Group, will take over the management of the firm’s Shanghai office after completion of the registration process with the Chinese Ministry of Justice.
The 45-year-old corporate lawyer, who currently practises in the firm’s Munich office, is taking over from Ralph V. Koppitz, who has headed the local office in Shanghai since 2003 and is now taking a break.
Mike Goldammer joined Taylor Wessing as a Partner in 2009 following prior positions inter alia at Shanghai and Beijing. Since then, he has been advising international corporate groups and medium-sized companies on their activities in China. In addition to his Corporate / M&A focus, he is an internationally recognized expert in China Compliance.
Commenting on his new role, he states “I'm starting in Shanghai from a very good position - my Shanghai partner Dr. Michael Tan and the whole team have been established for many years. I am very pleased to be able to set a new course, especially in the areas of Corporate / M&A and Compliance, which are important for our China Group, and to help shape the next few years directly from Shanghai”.
